Dating : Drunk texted guy I am seeing a ton of nonsense

I shouldn’t be in charge of my phone anymore.

So last night I went out with my friends which not going to lie was a ton of fun. However, I am currently on a diet and basically only ate a ton of fruit and a salad all day long. So once the wine was flowing I got very drunk very quickly. I was in good company and my friends were not so far behind but as a whole we were wrecked.

The guy I am seeing is currently out of town. He texted me in my drunken state to ask about my day. So, naturally I sent him a bunch of drunk people nonsense. My friend took my phone and also sent a video of me dancing like a nut. He basically got a play by play of karaoke and drunken hide and seek. So many weird texts and even voice notes of me and my friends being absolute shit shows.

To be fair, in the cold light of day he seems to have taken the whole thing in stride. I apologized about the not so sober messages and he told me not to worry, he was happy I had fun and got home safe, even followed it up with a kissy face emoji…

Still I can’t help but think I have ruined my chances with this guy. Dudes of reddit how would you feel about drunk texts from a girl you are seeing? As far as I can tell I didn’t send anything too strange, or off putting. No love confessions or crying.

TL/DR: I got drunk and texted guy I am seeing nonsense and terrible drunken pictures of myself and friends.

  1. I’d read it as: shes out, having fun with close friends and i’m still on her mind, even if shes out of it.

    Relax. You didnt fuck up

  2. Honestly when a woman does that too me, I’m glad to share the experience. It isn’t off putting at all, it’s quite the opposite. It shows she’s down to earth and enjoys a great time. Simply put, that’s something to look for in a significant other.

  3. I’d enjoy every second and laugh. No judgement. I’m Australian though, we expect this kind of of behaviour. I don’t agree you’ve blown any chances, unless he’s a fucking bore.

  4. It’s not a great look since it’s hard to tell how he really felt about it. Some people wouldn’t mind, but some would. I had something kinda like this happen to me the other night after I went home early so I could leave for a trip. She wanted to stay out longer with friends even though she was already pretty trashed. She made sure before I left to grab me by my shirt and let me know that she effing hates me. Then she called up a couple hours later (I picked up thinking she was in trouble) to tell me that I effing suck. I’m sure she meant it as a weird, backhanded drunk compliment that she wanted me to stay, but I couldn’t help but feel differently about her after that night. I personally find it better to be with someone who can handle her liquor and is a fun drunk. So at least you didn’t do that.

  5. At least you sound like a fun drunk. I’m sure he didn’t mind if he sent you a kissy face and he probably does mean what he said: he was happy you had fun. It’s one thing if this happens more. Don’t worry too much

    This actually sounds awesome.

Nobody parties as hard as you.

Just *own* that crap. Tell him you’re a flirty drunk, what can you say…

  7. I mean If it makes you feel better I drunk texted a girl that was interested me from tinder this weekend about emotional and sad shite. And all she said was « Dont ever text with this shit again. »
