Dating : Girl I was getting on well with stopped replying…
Hi all! I’m in need of assistance and hoping this is the right place to post. I apologise if it isn’t.
So, backstory, I have been talking to a girl for 3 weeks pretty much all day every day. As it turns out, we have a lot of links. Our parents have been friends for years (apparently we used to play together as kids), her brother plays in a friend’s band and generally we got on terrifically. I asked her out for food on the weekend a couple of weeks ago and she seemed really enthusiastic and excited. Unfortunately, she ended up having to work and we did reschedule. She did also say she’d like to see the band I play in as well, so I can only guess that she must have been in some way interested. But, then a few days later she didn’t reply to my last message and it’s been 5 days now where we haven’t talked. At first I just thought she does work long days, maybe she has had a bit much on and then it entered awkward should I shouldn’t I territory.
My dilemma now is that I don’t know whether to message her (what exactly, I don’t know, although, I have a gig coming up and was thinking of asking her to come) or to just leave it. It’d be a shame to have to call it quits, as we seemed to have a lot in common, but at the same time I don’t want to be a pain in the butt. My friend said I should bite the bullet and just ask her to come out, but I’m not so sure.

I’d give it one more shot. Just be honest. Say, « Hey, I like talking to you. Come out and see my band. It will be a fun time. » If she doesn’t respond or says she can’t…then you know, bit that’s where you’re at right now, so…what do you have to lose?
Shoot her a « Hey, how have you been? » since it’s been a few days. Or, like you said, ask her to come to your show.
