Dating : I found someone in real life!! At a club!

So I’ve been online dating for the past year and a half actively trying to find someone I click with that wants a serious relationship. I’ve gone on too many dates to count but no relationships have formed which has been incredibly frustrating.

I decided to screw it and go out to a few bars with my best girl friend who is also single to get my mind off the frustration. I never really go out dancing but this was kind of a f-it, let’s have fun night with my girlie so we ended up at a bar with dancing and I just wanted to let loose.

There were a group of 3 guys there we ended up dancing with, one guy in particular that I was solely dancing with… Guess I gave him my number because the next day he texted me and we set up a date… Only 3 dates in and I’m seriously in love with him. His personality, his laugh, his intelligence, smile, how kind and thoughtful he is and how positive he is! He’s the nicest person ever and I’m incredibly attracted to him… And the sad part is I probably wouldn’t have even swiped right on him on an app because of a few minor, shallow things (he’s kind of short). Now that I’ve met him in person though and know him it’s insane how attracted I am to him.

I just wanted to share because everyone says when you stop trying is when someone finds you… I thought that was a load of crap until it happened when I was just being myself and not trying. I also thought picking someone up at a club was crap as well and that there would only be scummy guys there but on our first actual date, he was laughing and telling me that he also never goes out dancing and it was because his friends wanted to! So maybe don’t write off the club scene guys… He’s a mega dork that I found dancing like a goon in a club 😂

Lastly for people who are stuck in the torture that is online dating, maybe try to give people you wouldn’t normally give a chance. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve swiped left on people who were less than 6′ tall just because they were short ☹️ this guy is 5’9″ and it somehow feels perfect because he’s his great self…
