Dating : LTR ended but I still have hopes we will reconnect in the future. Anybody have any experience in this?

My (24F) now ex-bf (23M) broke up with me about a month ago after being together for 3.5 years.
He said he doesn’t feel the same anymore and doesn’t see a future with me.
I saw some signs but I thought there was a consensus of growing together and working on things because we loved each other.
I still have foolish hopes that we will reconnect and get back together in the future.
If you have any similiar experience, advice, anything of the sort let me know. Thank you.
Never happen
You just have to take his word for it. Start moving forward. If he comes back, then deal with it when it happens, but you may even find once you’ve moved on that you’re doing alright without him.
Best to let that hope go otherwise it may prevent you from moving on. You may find somebody else who wants all your love and appreciates everything you have to offer. But you can’t do that if you’re still holding on to the past. He let you go, don’t reserve space for him in your mind and heart. If you reconnect in the future, deal with it then. But for now, just redirect that hope into your self and your needs.
I was in an LTR recently that ended, and all I can say is, don’t give yourself hope. Live your life as if you’ll never talk or see each other again. Because chances are, that’s what will happen. My ex and I haven’t spoke once since we brokeup.
you don’t really want to be with someone who broke up with you, homie. that’s attachment speaking. the person for you isnt suddenly going to decide you’re the one after breaking up with you.
