Dating : Matched on dating app (not Tinder) and since we messaged on that app she texts REALLY fast!
I have reciprocated but I’m wondering why she responds so fast. Is it just her personality over text or does it indicate desperateness? We should be going on a date either today or tomorrow (late at night lol)

No, texting really quickly doesn’t automatically mean someone is desperate. I’m a quick texter during the dating phase because I’m so excited to get to *know* someone. When I’m in a relationship, I hardly text because I like to wait until they come home to talk about our days. Don’t worry about small shit like this and just be in the present and explore each other’s minds.
Could be desperation, or could be someone so confident in themselves that they don’t care if they come off as desperate.

I am just a quick texter, I’m known to be reliable to my friends to always respond quickly, also my role requires me to be alert on phone/email so it’s just second nature.

Definitely overthinking, I know people who jump to a messaging app right away if they’re on their phone when someone’s messaging. It’s better than people who purposefully wait hours to respond to “play hard to get”
She might never put her phone down. Her entire life might revolve around her phone. Beware.
You should focus more on the content and quality of the texts and less on the timing of the texts.
If you’re nervous that she might be clingy, overbearing, desperate, insecure, it will show up in what she’s saying not when she says it!
Also, sounds like you’re already going into this with a bias, just enjoy the date until she gives you a solid reason not to.

My work communicates everything via text. I’m in like 3 or 4 different work related group chats, and then our boss will also send company wide messages for meetings. I’m pretty much required to check my phone when it vibrates. So if I get a text, I usually respond right away unless I’m taking time to think of a thoughtful response. It could be something similar.
