Dating : Sit at bar or table for a first date?
We plan on ordering food which this bar allows for but idk if they would feel weird if I chose sitting at the bar. I feel like it would feel less intimidating at a bar as opposed to a table but was wondering what you all think is best?
Side by side at the bar makes it easier to flirt
The bar is the best option. Think about it. Do you ever see actual couples sitting across from each other at a table or next to each other.
Depends on the location. If it’s a busy night you’re going to have a lot of traffic in your way. If it’s busy or not, you risk having the chatty drunk sitting beside you. I’d go table
Table. Side by side is awkward because I have to angle my body to make good eye contact. Space wise it’s just more comfortable as well.
Depends on the situation, if she’s already interested and comfortable around you, you wanna sit at the bar, it’s more fun and flirty, if you’re only just getting to know her, sit at a table so you can have more conversation.
I guess, if you are just trying to hook up, sit at the bar. Easy to touch. Be close. Get more drinks, etc.
Trying to get to know someone, a table. I find a table more intimate. You can make eye contact better and have more private conversation since someone isn’t coming up between you all the time to talk to the bartender. You can lean in to create intimacy without invading personal space. Plus, it’s more comfortable if you want to sit and chat for an extended amount of time. And if things are going really well, go find a good bar or go home for a few drinks.

Bar. You’re able to sit closer to them, creating more intimacy. You don’t have a server coming up interrupting conversation to check on you. Able to get drinks faster. Better people watching if you’re into that sort of thing (let’s be real, who doesn’t love that).
I find it easier to interact sitting across at a table. Or at an angle if at a round table. Easier to read facial expressions and keep eye contact
