Dating : Well this is disturbing.
Back story, I’ve been seeing this girl recently, no commitment to anything serious just a few dates, and there is a good possibility that she may be pregnant from her previous relationship. I don’t date women with kids, way to many possible problems for my comfort levels, and she knows this. Anyways, it is becoming increasingly apparent that she is most likely pregnant, she realizes it too, so there’s probably not much that’s going to come of this, though even if she weren’t pregnant I’m not sure I’d be interested in making it serious or not. I haven’t been seeing her long enough for me to develop any serious feelings, it takes a while for me.
Onto the disturbing shit:
She told me her friends were disappointed to hear that I don’t date women with kids especially since I’m apparently the only guy she ever dated that didn’t treat her like absolute shit (you could make a lifetime movie about her past), so they advised her, to get an abortion so that I’d be willing to date her. To clarify, she is not planning to do so but this is what her friends suggested.

The girl is pregnant to a guy who treated her badly and is no longer on the scene. Getting an abortion might be the best option for all involved. Not to keep a man, but to save an unwanted child from a shitty life.
Choosing not to date women who have children.. that’s your call, but you’re limiting yourself, and missing out on a potentially amazing match. Having kids doesn’t make a woman a poor option. Her attitude to life, her relationship with her ex, how often she has her kids, the age of the kids.. these things are huge factors.
It’s pretty clear from your post that you don’t think that highly of her.. so why string her along?

She could have been trying to gauge your reaction by saying that her friends « advised her ». But if she really has friends like this, she needs new friends.

Perhaps she fell victim to all those assholes because her braindead friends were too fucked up to warn her or perhaps even encouraged her to go out with an asshole.
