Introducing face filters and more on Instagram
Today we present the face filters in the camera; an easy way to turn a simple selfie into something funny and entertaining.
Mathematical equations floating around your head, hairy koala ears that wiggle and follow your movements: you can transform into multiple characters that will make you smile or laugh. To see the original set of face filters, just open the camera and tap on the new face icon on the bottom right.
Tap a filter to try it out and see which ones you can use with a friend. Take a photo or video with the camera on the front or back of your device to add a touch of the unexpected to what you are sharing. Filters even work with the Boomerang app. When you are done recording, you can add it to your story.
Other novelties
Currently, we are also deploying other creative tools in the camera.
You can create videos that will be played in reverse mode using the “Rewind” option, a new video format located next to “Boomerang” and the “Hands-free” video mode. Drop a mic and watch it return to your hand. Capture a fountain in action and share a video of the water returning to its source. Create your own magic tricks and defy the laws of physics wherever you go.
You can also add more context to your story with a new hashtag sticker. Just tap the sticker icon at the top right of your screen, select the hashtag, and personalize it before adding it to your story. You can also add hashtags with conventional text. Customers who see your story will be able to tap the hashtag sticker or text to visit the linked page and explore related posts.
Finally, you will see a new eraser among the drawing tools. You can erase things you have drawn and play with your photo by removing colors. After taking a photo or making a video, select a drawing tool and long press to fill your screen with color. Then, with the eraser, you can reveal portions of the photo or video by erasing the color in places.
From the very first face filter to the Boomerang app and more, Instagram has always been the place to go to turn a trivial moment in your business into something you’ll be eager to share. Now you have new, easy and fun ways to present your business and connect with the people you care about – your customers.
