I’m at a point in my life where I don’t want to text an SO daily, if I had one. I would want to limit communication to phone/video calls and in person. The only thing I would want to communicate through text is planning meetups/calls

I mean when me and my ex first got together the texting was frequent and lengthy. When we were together for like a year or more the texting was real dry or non existant but we had beeb together over a year so it didnt really matter at that point
Yes, what is even the point of texting? To share something you want to, to inform about something or to ask something. If it is none of these, then the only thing left is to check if the other person is not dead. Otherwise atleast I do not write to anyone
Yes, that can occur. Although the fact that you two are trying to be in contact says that the other person is on their mind and finds the relationship (romantic or not) important and wants to improve it.
Also, in some cases, such as myself, social skills can be difficult, but so can anxiety. Anxiety could be the reason on why there is dull conversation over text, or neither of you have any idea on how to make a conversation not dull, which is a social skill that should be improved.

As someone who isn’t into texting much, that seems completely fine to me.
It’s hard to have interesting text convo tbh. I can feel myself being boring sometimes but idk how to stop because we clearly can have smooth convo in person. If I like them I’ll keep trying to keep the contact going though
seeing this girl now and we can go days without texting and then just meet up over the weekend and everything is smooth. texting too much is irritating honestly
Why don’t you text less and see each other more often? The phone is stupid and kills more relationships than it improves.
