So I asked this woman out. We’ve been friends for a while and when I first met her she had a boyfriend. She doesn’t any more and I felt like a sufficient amount of time had passed since they broke up so I asked her specifically on a “date”. She asked if she could get back to me in the next couple days. That means no right?
Depends. If she gets back to you in a few days, you’ll have your answer. If she doesn’t, then it’s a no.

Why does she need time to think?
Yes usually, it’s a soft rejection. She’s not outright saying it’s not going to work but she probably has other plans in mind for that time.
