Dating : Never had a bf(19F)
I’m 19 and have never had a boyfriend, not even one in secondary school for like a week. One factor that didn’t really help was that I went to a girls school from 11-16.
I’d describe myself as average looking, my friends and family describe me as pretty but ofc that’s what friends and family do lol. I sometimes get attention from boys but only really on nights out or in the daytime by weirdos.
I’ve had like 2 guys in the last year tell me they like me but, as much as I got on with them, I just didn’t feel “it” at all.
For the longest time, I never particularly wanted a bf but in the last few months I’ve started to appreciate more what I’ve never had.
I don’t wanna use Tinder or anything because I don’t like the idea of meeting on technology first, I wanna really meet someone irl and the idea just doesn’t appeal to me.
What would you suggest to help myself meet someone irl??
Would you be opposed to trying tinder or bumble just to kind of get some dating practice? It’s kind of like job interviews, it helps to get a few under your belt. I prefer to meet people organically but it can be tough. If you want to meet people organically I feel like it’s just kind of one of those things where it happens when you least expect it and you’re not trying.

Sad reality apart, be yourself, and don’t really expect anything from anyone. Real love can come at any time but in my opinion it isn’t something you have control over.
For meeting people in real life I feel like it involves socializing or meeting someone through friends. I’ve heard of people meeting someone at the gym (rare but it happens), at bars, or through mutual friends. Unfortunately you’re too young for the bar scene.
Ironic you ask this using technology on the internet but you don’t like the idea of meeting someone from the internet.
