Dating : Outearning your date
Hello everyone,
Because the social norm is often men outearn women, how do you feel if it is the other way around?
Ladies, how do you feel dating someone who you know earns less than you?
Men, how do you feel dating someone who earns more than you?
Can be different situations: both full time workers or she works full time and he studied, for example.
As long as you don’t belittle me for making less than you, I don’t care. It’s not a competition from my pov
Being in my 20s there’s a lot of disparity in earnings, so I never really know who makes more it doesn’t really come up unless it’s obvious to one way or the other.
I don’t care so much as long as he’s fiscally responsible and able to take care of his financial responsibilities.
I do however care if he has a degree, multiple degrees, or if he’s planning on getting another one. All are positives to me.
Honestly i couldn’t care less. A relationship is like the soviet union. It’s OUR money
> Men, how do you feel dating someone who earns more than you?
Doesnt matter how men feel, women very rarely date men lower than them on the socioeconomic ladder.
Women earning more than me doesnt bother me. Though it sure does seem to bother them.
Doesn’t matter as long as they don’t try to get me to pay for their crap.
I don’t care
I don’t care if the girl makes more money, I’m roman-greco wrestler so I care more about wrestling than about money.
This is some real Hypercompetitive-type shit.
It’s not some kind of contest.
Never met a woman who earns more than me, so it’s not an issue. Of course they exist, but I doubt I would ever be interested, because the few very high earning women I’ve met were so career obsessed they were a drag to be around.
I haven’t thought about it much. I’ve been dating a woman who makes nearly double my salary while I’m still in grad school. Never really been an issue. We generally follow whoever invited pays. She usually wants to do more expensive things, so she’ll pay for those.
I’m only interested in dating a man that makes more than me. I’ve been on the opposite end and have dated a guy who made less than me. wouldn’t do it again.
