Dating : Dating with adult braces
I’ve [24F] been chatting with a guy I met on a dating app and we made plans to meet next weekend. Problem is, I have braces and none of my pictures show them. I don’t smile with my teeth. It’s going to end up being a surprise when I meet him and I’m really nervous that he’ll be put off. I know that logically, if he doesn’t like me because of something like braces then he isn’t worth it, but I still want to make a good impression and have a chance at a second date.
I’m also very socially anxious so I’m super nervous to begin with 😭
Anyone have any input or advice?
Best to mention it before the date, so he’s not too surprised and that becomes the only thing he focuses on.

I went to a date with a girl that had special kind of braces, that I did not know of. She had to remove them before eating, and it looked like grandma removing her ‘teeth’ before she could eat. I was kinda surprised (not grossed out) when I saw her remove em. However, we are all human and no one is perfect, actually i personally found it quite cute, and I did not mind it one bit. If it does bother him – he is a douche and not worth dating. Things like these do not define you as a person and it can be a good filter to filter shallow people out. He should like you for you, not you if you don’t have a braces lol. I know that before going out, you go through all your insecurities, but imo most guys would find them cute, good luck.
