Huh. Three years long distance for me so far and now that you mention it, I don’t think we ever had an online date. Like we never called it a date. But anyway, we spent a lot of time together playing the MMORPG we met on. And Pokemon battling on Pokemon Showdown. Watching YouTube videos and anime while in voice call is fun too! We video called before when out and about. I saw his walk to his local grocery store in the Netherlands and he got hit with a $50 USD phone bill for the data because of it haha! I video called him and shared local California fairs. But mostly, we just enjoy video calling and snuggling together at home and being ridiculous together.
When my now-fiance and I had our first online date back in 2007, we played games together on Yahoo, lol. There’s ways now that you could watch a movie together and chat about it, so that’s also an option!

I always thought about having a date like that lol. We both buy takeout from our favorite place (and no need to share, nice!) and just sit and have a dinner date together. Something less directly « staring-at-each-other » intimate would probably be like watching a movie on rabbit.
