In the UK it seems most women have been warped by awful « reality » TV and now are so shallow and materialistic or was this always the way?

Not just the UK, and not just women either. It’s the entirety of Western culture. It’s basically gone to hell in a hand basket. It’s up to us to only breed with top quality men and women who don’t display the bullshit sociopathic tendencies. And raise our kids right!!
I can’t answer your question but I just wanted to say that I was really shocked when I went to Scotland for my internship. Seeing young women with a ton of makeup on, fake lashes, fake tan etc… as an everyday look. (I’m a 22F, French)
