Dating : How do I build a connection with a girl I like?
Hey there,
I’m 19 years old and I already had a few relationships when I was younger, most of the time the other person broke up with me. What I noticed is that these relationships never lasted long, the longest was about 3 months. Also, it was always on a very superficial level, like we would talk a lot and laugh together but somehow I could never fully connect with the girl.
When I was 15 I really loved that one girl, like it was not some teen romance I actually loved her very much. I thought she also loved me (she even said I love you quite a lot to me), but after a while she left me for her ex. I feel like after this happened, I never truly fell in love with another girl and it is hard for me to trust new girls I get to know and to build a connection with them.
I have to add that people always tell me I’m very attractive and I feel like girls just date me for my looks and not my personality. Also I rarely went out with my girlfriends, we mostly just stayed at my place, watched tv and hooked up. Honestly I have almost no energy left for all that dating bullshit, I have been single for over 2 years now, and I only had a few fuckbuddies since that time.
I’d really prefer a healthy relationship but it seems to be so hard for me to get to that level, so do you have any advice how I can build trust and connection with girls?
