Dating : How much of a turn-off are braces for women?
M here. I’ve always viewed braces as a middle-high school thing, but now I have to get them at the age of 20 for a few years.
So now I’m really concerned about how they would look. What’s your opinion on braces at this age? Do you generally find them ugly/gross? Is it ever a dealbreaker for potential relationships?

Bro i wouldn’t stress yourself too much. This is a perfect time to work on yourself and gain heaps of confidence in other areas. You don’t go to the gym? Start now and smash that shit 5-6 days a week and by the time your braces are off you’ll be looking like youre superman.
On the other hand – there are women out there with braces kinks or you can hit up some older women im sure they might froth it if you’re into that kinda thing. OR you might find someone that accepts you for you and that’s the real 10/10. Fuck the judgemental people that whine over braces being a factor. Live life to the fullest its too short to worry about what others might think
I’d like to think that a mature person would recognise that you’re taking care of yourself, and not mock you for whatever reason. Sure, most people get them young, but there’s no age limit on self care.
I have the opposite problem – in the coming months I’ll be undergoing dental work and will end up with a partial denture! I’ll be 30 with some removable teeth like a grandpa. It’s not ideal, but frankly it’s better than the current situation.

My guy you’re stressing over nothing, plenty of people your age and older have braces. If someone is going to turn you down because you have braces, they weren’t worth your time to begin with. Not everyone is able to get them when they’re kids.
I’m going to be 32 in a couple of months and will be getting braces soon, have already gone through a couple of consultations. I’m very fortunate that my teeth are pretty damn straight as it is and people have always been surprised when I tell then I never had them. But it’s still something I’ve been self conscious about and am doing it for myself. I’m excited to get them, I looked at invisalign but fuck it. I want the whole world to see.
Is it too late for you to look into something like Invisalign?

At that age, huge turnoff unless you’re tall and ripped.
It’s going to be a tough few years.
It also depends on what woman you’re looking for. You might get average girls but if you’re looking for 10’s it won’t happen.
