I personally don’t start dating again until I’m over my ex and really feel ready to date.
Dating with the ex or someone else? Dating with the ex again will obviously take much longer. Like a few years. Dating with someone else is fine as long as it is not serious and more casual. Like just for fun and not to get into a serious relationship. But at that point instead of dating you might as well hangout with friends. Dating seriously for a relationship should be done when you have moved past the previous relationship emotionally and mentally. Carrying those emotions and mentality over to the next serious relationship is just a rebound that will lead to another cycle.
Every situation is different. If you’re still not over your ex, do not date. This could take anywhere from days to years. Take care of personal stuff first.
It’s good advice. I don’t feel ready. I hate the advice the only way to get over a man is to get under a new one. That sounds like the worst possible advice, imo
