Dating : I hate one and done dates.
Went on a super fun date with a girl on July 4th, we cuddled and watched the fireworks, but I just didn’t feel a spark with her because I was hung up on another girl. Later I turned her down gently for a second date and wished her good luck, I felt heartbroken but at the same time relieved.
Nevertheless I had a good date with her, but I just feel like dates like these are sad for both parties. A really great time getting to know someone, even if the feelings weren’t quite there, packed into one summer’s day, never to be revisited again.
I’d suggest maybe not dating girls when you’re hung up on someone else.. it’s unfair to both parties when you’re emotionally unavailable. You say you hate « one and done » dates, but how was there a chance for anything more if you like someone else?
Totally different story if you’ve advertised as looking for a casual hook-up, and everyone is clear on where things are (and aren’t) going.
