Dating : I’m [24m] recently seeing this girl [24f] but she’s moving states soon. How and when do I talk about a long distance relationship?
Been on several dates with this girl since Middle of May and we hit it off. She’s made it clear that she likes me a lot because she invites me to meet her friends and go to events with her, but also spends 1 on 1 time with me. I’m basically seeing her 3 times a week which I feel is a lot for someone who is leaving soon but making time for me (and she’s working as well)?
She’s leaving for school in the east coast at the end of July while we are currently in the west (her whole family lives here). We haven’t talked much about her impending leave other than the first date probably because I don’t want to bring it up yet, even though it’s the elephant in the room.
I haven’t felt this way for someone before (even though I’ve had a couple girlfriends before) and would love to do a long-distance one. I just wonder how and when I should bring that proposal up? We haven’t had the relationship talk yet but we’ve both made it clear we aren’t seeing other people, and I do feel like if we do have that conversation then these 2 topics would be in that same conversation anyways given the time frame.
Even if she doesn’t feel the same way as I do I don’t want to ruin the moment because I’m having the time of my life right now but on the other hand I don’t want to spring up the question a week before she leaves and put her on the spot so I feel like we should have that conversation no later than the beginning of July?
Her school curriculum is only 2 years and for me flying there every other month and staying there for a week wouldn’t be an issue. There are a lot of job opportunities there for me as well but I’m hesitant on applying if she’s going to just move back here when she’s done with school or somewhere else.
