I have been going out with this tourist for two months now, but he is not in the country for long. Dates have been great lots of fun, even went for a weekend getaway together. He has been quite nice, proactive with planning dates/keeping in touch and has said some terribly sweet things too. I have met some of his friends as well. I think I like him BUT he is a tourist and I am not quite sure if this is just another travel story for him. Practically of course, this doesn’t seem to have a future at all. So should I ask him where/what we are and risk sounding clingy, or assume the rational thing ie this is all fun and games and I shouldn’t give this a lot of thought. Vote!

  1. You can ask, but even if he lies to you by saying he wants something more and then goes home and ghosts you, don’t feel weird about it. This is a meeting that has a low chance of success.

However, if it does work out with genuine feelings and relationship, you may consider it worth to pursue. I’m a believer in long distance relationship but it does need a lot of work and effort to progress.
