Dating : Is there a notable difference in success between serious dating sites and casual dating apps?
I could probably put some more effort into my dating app profiles, but I’m really starting to wonder if it’s best to take some time and try out some more serious dating sites. Getting a bit old with random ghosting and bad dates with people who are really entirely different irl.
Have any of you had better success on these sites? Is it all just the same?
Nope, men have a definite decreased success on them. On the other hand, it’s easy mode for women.
My experience has been the same with both. That might be a reflection of how I present myself, however.
no
Tinder 1 match in a month and a half. Hinge 18 matches and one date in 2 weeks. I’d say very different results.
Casual/Dating apps and sites fall under the same objective: finding a match.
Does not matter where you find your person. If your person wants something casual or serious then they should have already told you or at least send that message towards you. There is no notable difference. Whatever program you are using, you are finding someone. Casual or serious is up to you.
Casual dating apps have more desirable people on them
NOPE!
I have used match, POF, Tinder, OKC, Bumble, and Hinge. Met my current guy on Hinge which is free. Actually had not dates from match.
I don’t like swiping apps because they become a battle of who has the better picture and not who has confidence and a good personality. Before OKC changed their platform, I constantly was going out with someone. After they changed it, zero. I’ve had way more success finding actual relationships on Match than any other platform.
