2. I have never done online dating. When single what I like to do is mix up my schedule and do things I might not normally do, switch which time and day I go to the grocery store, you see a totally different group of people. Or go to events that fit with your personality or hobbies. I am not a big fan of going out in general but try and have a good attitude and be in a good mood and try to chat with people about stuff you both may like.
