Dating : What does this mean?!
A girl I like who bartends at a bar I go to. Her friend just approached me and questioned me about what I do for work, how long I have been single etc… then proceeded to say the girl I like is “off limits” the guy also sitting next to her said “do you understand” I’m like yeah. “He’s like it seems you don’t!”

Sounds like you were being screened for attributes which you don’t fit.
You can choose to ignore this and keep trying, but without the friend’s support, it is going to make it way harder. Is this girl really worth all this effort? There are plenty of others out there. You’re likely going to have to work harder than usual to get her to go out with you because she’s not going to want to disappoint her friends unless you’re really worth it.
The other side of the coin is this is all big test to see how confident you are, though I honestly don’t see this being the case.
Don’t pursue her. If you go to her workplace to get attention from her, stop going or at least get another bartender to serve you.
Service workers feel trapped by unwanted attention from customers sometimes, because she HAS to be nice to all her customers. Her friends are telling you to back off.
It means shes just playing hard to get. Keep trying
