hi guys i need advice !
so i (f18) have been recently talking to this guy (M21). as we continued the conversation i realise he know one of my classmates in school(F19). let’s call her Gina.
When i shared with Gina about me interested in him, she told me that i had no right to be interested in him as it is a bestie-code rule.
TLDR: Gina liked him before in the past, last year. but they did not talk as she was a junior and he was a senior. she had that respect for him and did not make advances. however she moved on long ago and now that i am interested in him, she finds it a bad thing and says i broke the bestfriend rule.
I feel very what the fuck about this situation as firstly, she liked him but they were never once a thing. if they were a thing i wld understand & back off as we are good friends.
secondly , this happened last year & she has already moved on. they don’t even talk rn. & I rly like this guy. Am i doing anything wrong by progressing on with him more than friends? Gina’s bestfriend (F18) tells me i’m being fucked up…
Gina says that due to their “history” ((which they had none what the f, it’s just her and other girls having a crush on him)) what i’m doing is wrong as many other girls like him too & i am stealing the chances they have with him. dude i feel so messed up.
my other friends say they’re pretty immature. pls advice guys!!!! i rly need help to conquer this situation.

Are you best friends with this person? A siscode sounds really stupid to me. The guy obviously likes you and not your friend. I’d go for it if I were you, your friend just sounds petty.
But you also have to consider that if this person is a good friend, it might damage your relationship with her if you go out with this guy.
Only you can weigh it up and decide what’s right, just consider the consequences
