Dating : Asked a guy out, he liked it, then ghosted on the day of the date.
So I asked a guy out on OLD app and he liked it and said the date I planned sounds fun. I told him great and that I bought tickets to the show. The next day I texted him on the app about the time and place. No reply. And when I was on my way to the date I noticed that the guy unmatched. This jerk didn’t even have the decency to text and make an excuse even if was a fake one. I am confused because while I was asking him out, he himself said can we skip the chit chat and grab a drink? I don’t get it. He wanted to go out but then ghosted when we had a date.
« grab a drink » probably meant that he wanted you to get drunk and sleep with him. He got spooked when you recommended something that took him out of that comfort zone.

Don’t commit to an event or anything fancy for the first date. Unless you’ve already met them in person, they’re not really real.
Next time, just set up drinks, or a walk around the locale. Also, text them two hours before the date. If they don’t respond, I don’t leave my house lol
Theirs this new term « mosting » a form of ghosting where a guy/girl pretends to be interested in interacting with you, love bombs, seems really into you etc but ends up ghosting you as a game. This sounds like a mild form of that.
Don’t do that again. Meet for coffee not drinks. I think this guy just wanted to get laid.
This happens to me a lot and I’ve started to realise those guys *are* enthusiastic… about wanting sex with little effort. If you suggest something cute like coffee during daylight hours they won’t show up. If you offer to go to straight to his place he’ll be into it though.
