Although I agree, I also feel as though one can’t truly know until someone asks up front or if the other just come out with the ”bad knew.”
People believe that being vague spares hurting feelings, but to be honest, It hurts worse when someone’s torturing themselves on the inside, trying to figure out where they stand in regards to someone else.

Agreed. Guy here, and the few times I’ve had women be up-front and tell me they weren’t interested, I thanked them for not wasting my time. One was legitimately confused at that reaction, but it’s how I felt.
I’ve also a few times asked pretty bluntly if someone was still interested or not, usually not if it’s too that point, but it can help suss out confusion as you whether someone is indecisive about dating you vs just really busy at work, and actually hasn’t had the time to hang out, which does happen.
