Dating : Confused and don’t know what happened
I met this guy on tinder a while back and things were going so great! He seemed to put in effort in getting to know me! We had the conversation about what we were and I told him I really liked him and wanted something serious. Then we established neither one of us were seeing anybody else. Like I said things were going great until sex was brought up. One night he came over and we watched a movie and after he asked if we could have sex. We fooled around but ultimately I wasn’t really to go all the way but I really liked him. We kept seeing each other for a few more weeks but he didn’t seem to like me or be into me anymore. He ended things saying he wanted to focus on grad school ( I’m 20 he was 22) and didn’t want anything serious but that I was a great person. And now he’s dating another girl his same age about 6 weeks later.
I’m really confused what went wrong. How do I balance me need for emotional support and commitment in order to feel comfortable with sex and his need for sex? I really liked him and wanted things to work out. We knew each other for three months and didn’t have labels. He also told me he loved me which was a slight red flag this early on.
Ive been through this. Guys can tell if they want you as a girlfriend pretty fast. Once they start giving excuses— they just want boyfriend benefits without giving u commitment. Trust me, there will be a guy out there for you who will see you as girlfriend material without you questioning it. Dont waste any time or feelings on a guy who doesn’t see your worth
