Dating : Dealing with the person w/ bad(not my type) sense of humor
So I’ve been dating a girl(28) for a few months already. She is all nice, motivated and gorgeous, but I just can’t stand her sense of humor. At first, those bad puns were funny, though now I can’t stand a single one she throws. I have never thought of it before, but it’s literally a dealbreaker for me.
Is it just my thing, or it’s common for couples to break up when their sense of humor is unmatching?

Is there a way to test someone’s sense of humor in advance? I have noticed that some people write on Tinder that they have « dark sense of humor » or something like this. I guess it’s important in dating, to have a matching sense of humor.
Humor is super important to share with your partner. You already told us the truth and your answer. Dont lead her on anymore and let her go. Be respectful but honest with her. If you dont click you dont click, dont force it. Nothing wrong with acknowledging that and moving on. You are doing her a favor.
Having a similar sense of humour is very important when it comes to compatibility. I don’t think you can test it in advance. Just because someone says they enjoy a certain type of humour doesn’t mean they’ll be at the same level as yours. I enjoy light sarcasm, but if my partner is extremely sarcastic all the time, it gets tiring.
