Dating : How do I “make her pay” while also seeming nice
I (M18) have been going out with this girl (18). Super sweet and nice. Wherever we go I offer to pay (just to be nice) she says are you sure? I say no problem but I don’t want to invest so much money into just casual dating. It be nice if she was more aggressive and said, “you know what I got it this time.” Or if she insisted on me not paying. One time I forgot my wallet in the car and we were at a café and I felt embarrassed and said I’d just drink water. She ended up buying me a drink so I know she’s not a gold digger as some of my friends have told me.
One time I had a guy take me to a restaurant (the kind where you order at the front and then sit down and eat – not fast food but more ma and pop). We were waiting in line and as it came out turn to approach he made me go up to the counter and order first while he purposefully stood waiting in the line. I had already had it in mind to pay for his meal too (didn’t tell him that tho) so when I got through my order I asked him what he wanted. He said he was good. I paid and went over to the side and the guy went ahead and placed his order separately.
We were casually dating to an extent/very early stages. Him doing that, among other things that date, definitely left a bad taste in my mouth
Just take her up on her off next time youre on a date. Say sure you can get this one.
