Dating : How do people date now?
I haven’t really been in the dating game since my early 20’s. I know how to get casual flings, but I don’t really know how to get someone who wants more than sex. What’s the best way to meet people? Especially given that Covid is still a thing.
I can’t really help, after a short attempt at a dating site and a string of creeps who wanted to marry me after the second date or fuck me on the first I decided I’d rather let fate decide, it was amusing at first but quickly became seriously scary. Reading posts in the Are they married yet group were sooo cringy too. Best of luck, there are nice ones still out there somewhere, if you discover where they are and find yourself one let me know 😉
Apps are a good way to get your feet wet. If you’re a straight woman it’s important to know how to filter out the wrong people, and be willing to challenge what you were taught to like especially if your experience is only in casual dating. When things are more open I recommend taking a multi-prong approach: Prioritize friends (or making new friends), then your network / events, and then online dating.
