Dating : I’m going to be a plus one next month, and I haven’t really met the girl I’m going with.
My friend has a wedding next month and her friend (who I am not romantically interested in) needs a date. I said yes to going a while back because why not?
I’m getting a bit nervous however as I won’t know anyone except my two friends who are in a relationship, and I really don’t know my date too well at all. I’ve met her once and she is as quiet as a mouse. I’m fairly good at conversation but I’m worried that will be difficult if she is really shy. I just want to show her a good time, be a great date, have fun, and still keep things platonic.
Any tips for making the most out of a possibly awkward situation?
Just show up
Why do you just want to keep it platonic?
Alcohol should help. And why keep it platonic? Good chance you’ll get laid
Reminds me of going to prom with someone that we are not dating. One good way to break the ice is to have a quick meetup prior to the event. That way, you have already gotten through the initial hi, I’m so and so , and you can instead enjoy the wedding with your date
