Dating : Is it strange for a girl [19] ask for an older stranger man his number? How should I do this?

There is this man who takes the same Japanese course as I do. Since they use a method of teaching (Kumon) where students don’t ever interact with each other, even interaction with the teacher is not so big and people show up there when they want, it’s a very lonely course.

Since I saw him for the first time I got interested because he has all the physical qualities I like in a guy and he looks to be someone nice. I am used to make the first step and ask the guy out, but it was always someone at the same age with more things in common (school or mutual friends). I am really bad with getting someone’s age right, but I would say he is somewhere between 24-30 and he doesn’t have a ring. I don’t know anything more about him, not even his name.

I don’t know if it would be weird to ask about him or his number, having nothing in common with him besides the course and I don’t have any idea how I should do this. Please help me.
