Dating : Is it worth it currently?

Hey r/dating! So I got a relatively simple question but one that I am having a hard time coming to a conclusion on. So, I (M 26) am currently in my last year of a college program in my hometown, I plan to continue my education and get a degree in another city, which is 12 hours away from my hometown, next year and it should take 2 years to finish. I also have very little interest in coming back to live in my hometown after. I am curious what people on here think, I kinda want to have more serious relationships but find it hard to commit to anything since most of people on the dating sites and apps I have talked to give off the vibe they are planning to stay here. So should I put dating on hold for a bit until I go off to a new school next year or just keep looking for someone that is okay with my current aspirations.
