Dating : Is there a cool thing to say when rejected

Dating : Is there a cool thing to say when rejected

Well I have a pretty simple question
When you ask someone out (in person not through an app)

What can you say if you get rejected?

« Hey, I think you’re really cute, would you like to go out for a drink later this week? »

« I’m flattered, but I have a boyfriend » (the classic lol)

Now what can be my response so it won’t be awkward (lets say we work together/see each other pretty often)

The only thing I could think of is something like « my loss » but somehow I can’t seem to like it ^^ »

  1. Don’t say « my loss », self deprecating statements like that are a turnoff for women, even if they’re rejecting you. Display confidence, like it doesn’t bother you. « Okay, no worries. Enjoy the rest of your day/night » is much better. Women will also use that line even if they don’t have a boyfriend so there’s that.

  2. Just shrug it off like it’s no big deal (because it really isn’t) and then leave. A short and simple « okay, bye/have a good night » will suffice. You definitely don’t want to try and « play the pity card » or whatever. That looks really bad and passive-aggressive.

  3. « OK no problem. I just think you’re pretty/cute/look nice/look interesting and thought I’d ask. Have a nice day. »

« No worries. Have a nice day. »

    Something like that.
