Dating : Is this considered asking someone on a date?
Here is the convo we’re talking about:
Boy: Do you want to grab lunch tomorrow?
Girl: Sure
Boy: Okay, it’s a date.
My boyfriend disagrees that this is considered asking someone on a date but I think it is, although I was thinking about The Office episode where Jim does it to Pam. He says it isn’t because friends can say it to each other. I think for young people like us, this means a date.
>it’s a date.
it’s a date.
If the intention is to get to know someone better with the possibility of later pursuing a romantic relationship, it is a date.
Yeah, I think it is a date.
I don’t think so. It’s just a saying. I’ve said it to plenty of people from friends to co-workers. It’s like yeah I’m making a note to be there!
Yeah it’s definitely how 13 year olds would set a date..
Depends if I like the guy or only want to be his friend. Now if it’s dinner than it won’t be confused with something casual and goes the more romantic route.
