TL;DR – I met my person on Reddit when I had all but given up hope and you will find your person too
Hello r/dating,
At the beginning of the year I decided to stream on r/distantsocializing . I was just talking about some life changes and a new job I had started. Another Redditor commented on my stream and began engaging in some witty banter back and forth with me. We continued to chat via messenger and eventually moved on to talking/texting everyday. Rapidly things got more and more serious. Neither of us were actively seeking ANYTHING with ANYONE and she just crashed into my life and absolutely changed everything for me. She has become my best friend, my rock, my everything in the last year. After meeting in person and dating, we’ve decided we’re going to be moving in with one another and taking our relationship to the next steps. I never thought I would get another crack at love (I went through a divorce in 2019) and she had taught me so much on what love means and continues to amaze me everyday. I guess the moral of this is to keep on going and when you least expect it the best thing that will ever happen to you will jump into your arms .

I livestream as a side hustle and for some reason always encounter pervs lol. Didn’t even know Reddit had a live streaming option but I def will give it a try, since I actually enjoy live streaming

Well, I tried Reddit dating, and it ended up about the same as all my other attempts. One woman ghosted me after what seemed like a really nice, really wordy three month conversation. We were exchanging long paragraphs, and then she fell off the map never to be heard from again. Profile says she is now happily taken: I wish she had at least told me so I could wish her well. The other two were super far away, and we kinda mutually just let the convo die.
I’m happy for your success OP, but there is no guarantee any of us will find similar, and frankly it’s annoying when people try to inspire false hope in others. Enjoy your happiness and don’t try to expand it to others: this is your moment.
