Dating : Recently single after a few months of being in a relationship and I now I remember how brutal online dating is
Five minutes on this and I already feel like I am a total loser. Its coming back to me now how fucked up my experience on online dating has been. Not to mention I keep meeting lunatic women. I can’t be that bad looking at least desperate women will have me. I guess I’ll have to try and find another one. But now I understand why many men get so frustrated and miserable. All the other girls completely ignore us and those who don’t pull us in then let go. Obviously we feel it is important to continue as we ourselves are not exactly catches to women in public either this is our chance to make a good impression instead of fumbling awkwardly through the first meeting of woman in public. But that adds up eventually to one disturbing question « do all these women hate me? ». The natural emotional reaction to that is never positive. I think that causes rampant misogyny. Of course the bitterness also feuls depression as well as the rejection and damaged self esteem. No wonder there is a suicide problem in young men. I think that online dating is a bigger factor to the depression and suicide rate than we know it to be.
Online dating is shit for everyone, women get spammed with a mountain of dick pics and a lot of shitty behaviour, making them desensitized and cold at times. Because of this – a lot of men slowly get frustrated and unfortunately hostile or just become one of the guys who sends a dick pick to everyone (If you were ever wondering why it happens, here you go. Easy to just check if someone is attracted to you without spending two weeks trying to chat someone up and getting ignored)

Women have always been the choosers in our modern society, online dating just multiplies that factor because of crazy desperate ‘nice guys’ who both give undeserving women attention and add a lot of toxicity to the pool.

It’s shit and there’s a lot of reasons for it, you can write a book about them all and a lot of people have done just that.

Tl;dr: Abundance of shitty men who want to fuck anything = men become abundant and women have most of the power. It’s basic economics, supply/Demand.

Just keep your head up, maybe take a break from online dating? It definitely bites at your confidence.
