Dating : Should I just stop trying with dating apps?

Dating : Should I just stop trying with dating apps?

So I am well aware that Tinder is mainly used for hooking up. I have not used it in a year and will not download it again. A friend of mine suggested using POF, Bumble, and Hinge. I downloaded all three of them just to see what would happen. I got a lot of messages on POF, but they were from creepy guys that were asking lots of strange requests. Hinge and bumble were not so bad, except every conversation I had with someone would only last about a day or so. I did find two guys that seemed alright on POF, but the dates were a disaster. One guy ended up taking about his ex the entire time and the other was just creepy.

The question that I have is should I take a break from using dating apps? It has not been successful and I just have lost a ton of self-confidence.

  1. My advice is always to try to find someone in your real everyday life, it has a better chance of it working out and being pure, with online apps there’s a lot of things that can go wrong, especially if you want to date. Real life interactions are more upfront and better in my opinion

  2. If you plan on still using any apps stick with bumble. POF is very iffy for me as a guy. I find it hard to trust most profiles as there are so many fake accounts, scams and bots. Its like skynet has taken over lol. So I’m very much on guard from the start. Bumble though is different. POF is also more hookup oriented. I want to find a long term relationship. I’d say try real life meetings if your life is set up for it. I have little choice as my work is selling homes and most people I see are couples or married families.
