Dating : Thoughts on Politics in Dating…
I was curious if slight differing opinions in politics here and there ever drastically impacted anyone’s relationship?
I (25 M) am currently dating a 23 F. I am a pretty objective thinker and can always see value on each side of the political isle, so you could say I ride the line. Some things I agree with the left, some things I agree with the right. Overall, probably have more of a right lean if I had to guess? Really, I don’t enjoy politics and they kind of frustrate me, but I know they are important.
The girl I’m seeing is more on the left but she values open mindedness. We get along great and we are progressing more than any other girl I’ve dated really (politics may not be related at all lol) She seems to be a lot more into politics than I am and that kind of worries me. I wouldn’t want that to become exhausting in the relationship.
I guess I take it as it comes and it can be a learning experience!
I personally would never date a guy who doesn’t share my political views. I’m pretty into politics and it’s important to me. That being said, if you’re a slightly right of center moderate without strong opinions, then I’m glad it works for you!!
If you don’t agree on politics, religion, and money it’s not going to work well.
