Dating : Two dates and I think im starting to like him, hard to read if he is looking for a serious relationship.
I’ve (21F) gone on 2 dates with this guy (25M) I met off of Hinge. I got pretty good vibes from him on the first date, and by the second date I already feel really comfortable around him, I feel like myself and I like the person I am when I’m around him. I have gone on quite a few first dates in the past week and he is definitely the one who I liked spending time with the most.
It is hard to read if he is looking for something serious or not. He seems like a really sweet guy, he offers to pick me up and drive a decent bit in my opinion to come see me, texts smth along the lines of « I had a fun time tonight! Thanks for tonight »after dates and just genuinely seems like a good person. I am starting to feel a little self conscious of whether he thinks I’m funny or not because I made a few jokes during the evening and he didn’t laugh at alll of them, whereas after the first date I felt like we laughed a lot and I felt like my jokes were received well.
I am worried that I am starting to get attached to him. Any tips on how to stop myself from getting attached to fast?
Assume he’s fucking other women, it’ll make you lose attached within a second.
In the same situation atm. I would definitely assume he is seeing and fucking other women so you don’t get attached. Also go on other dates don’t put your eggs all in one basket
You’ve only been in two dates. Relax. If he likes you the dates will continue and you’ll be able to see more where his head is at.
And if you feel curious about what his intentions are, you can just ask the next time you two go out.
Also, those other comments are very negative and potentially self sabotaging in nature. You clearly like him, so on the next date ask about his intentions and you can better determine if he likes you the same way.
