Dating : What does it mean when a girls says they “want to hang”?

This girl who i matched with Tinder. We moved the conversation to Snapchat. Been snapping for a few days. Just casual friendly stuff. Something I find odd was she sent me a picture just wearing a bra and short, shorts not long after snapping. I was very casual with it. Kind of just snapped back nonchalant. I didn’t really react.

I see on her Snapchat story that she was drinking and I work late at night and she snapped me saying she wanted to hang. I asked her what she had in mind and all she said was I want to hang. I then told her to message me when she’s sober. She got a little more persistent and I told her when I had a day off next. I asked once again what she had in mind and all she said was “I wanna hang.”

  1. She just wants to spend some time with you. What’s sure is that she feels safe enough to have a do some platonic activities with you. Best to not expect anything, but if both of you have a great time then you’ll get to do it again. And again. Until the relationship blossoms into something more.

In the mean time, just chill. Watch a movie, grab a bite, whatever it is as long as it’s comfortable with the both of you.

  2. Instead of trying to decipher the obvious, you should have taken the initiative to hang out. Pick ANYTHING, as long as you get to be by her side.

  3. She wants to spend some time with you and it doesn’t mean she wants to have sex necessarily. You can « hang » and watch a movie and eat food and talk and kiss and get to know each other. I don’t know why you need to be sober just to hang and get to know each other. Just spend some time together and see what happens naturally.
