Dating : Which bio do you like the most? Which is the most mysterious? What are some additional suggestions/ideas?

Dating : Which bio do you like the most? Which is the most mysterious? What are some additional suggestions/ideas?

So I’m wanting to start dating on Tinder for the first time and I’m really looking to see some ideas for a bio. I like reading, watching movies, and eating spicy food) but I want the bio to be short and sweet while being a bit mysterious. I want the person who looks at the bio to be interested in knowing a bit more about me and how I come across the idea for the bio.

Here’s what I got so far:

« If they give you ruled paper, write the other way » (a quote from one of my favorite books)

« Books, spice, and other adventures. »

« Books, spice, and everything nice » (just thought of this, just now not sure if it’s too cheeky or childish)

Also, I’m open to hearing other suggestions/ideas for new bios as well. Thanks in advance!

  1. You don’t have to have anything mysterious/clever like this. The purpose of the bio is to let people know something about you. Trying to come across as deep or whatever is honestly a little bit cringey.

Just literally say « I like reading, watching movies, and eating spicy food. »

You should also have more than that, because that would be a really short bio.

  2. Honestly, I’d scrap all of them. Ideally you want people to be able to learn something about you reading your bio (people will debate about how much a bio matters, but they definitely play a role imo). All I can tell from this is « this person reads and likes spicy food ». Cool, you’re now indifferentiable from half the population. Everyone reads, eats, and watches movies. You’ve gotta make yourself stand out more. I put hot sauce on nearly everything, but I would never consider putting it in a bio. Do you have any interests/hobbies that you could call out that are less vanilla?

If you want to stick with this framework, I’d add a bit more depth. What kind of books do you like? What kind of movies?

Revised example: « Fiction fanatic, culinary masochist (I like it hot!), avid moviegoer. »

  3. Blank bio is best if your pictures tell enough of a story.

The problem is that your bio is overwhelmingly likely to hurt more than it will help. It’s another thing for girls to judge and think is weird. Don’t give them reasons to swipe left.
