Dating : Why are so many men searching ebony on porn but wouldn’t actually date a black women?
Ebony is one of the top search terms on pornhub yet when it comes to dating black women are the least popular on dating apps. Why aren’t men dating women they’re clearly physically attracted to?

Some of the most popular porn categories are incest and interracial. People don’t really watch these because they’re actually into it in real life; they watch it for the taboo element. It’s a fetish. Jacking off to someone is completely different from dating someone. Unfortunately in our society, race plays a huuuuge part in dating. A lot of people say that they’re open to date members of other races, but the studies have shown that black women and Asian men are the least desirable in our society. I’m not saying everyone is racist, but there is something going on here, no? Based on my interactions, black women are viewed as too masculine while Asian men are viewed as too feminine and perpetual outsiders. Obviously, these are stereotypes, but we’ve been hearing them our whole lives. At some point, that makes a mark in our brains.
If you ask people on the streets whether they’re willing to date someone outside their race, 99% will say yes, but that’s completely bullshit because they *have* to say that. And if we assume for a moment that they’re all being honest, then the OkCupid study on race would show that there are no discernible preferences in partners when it comes to race. That obviously was not the case. As a minority, I can tell you that race absolutely matters here, and while you may *think* you don’t have a preference, you certainly do in your subconscious. I’ve also heard a lot of people say « well race doesn’t matter if you’re attractive ». The problem with that is our perception of attractiveness mainly revolves around Western standards, so to be considered attractive as a minority, you would have to conform with the Western standard of beauty in some way or another. In that case, that completely defeats the statement of « race doesn’t matter ».
To anyone that I may have upset, I’m talking about **overall trends in the US**, and this isn’t a personal attack on any person of any race.
Ive never really thought about looking up black women specifically in porn but if i had the chance i definitely would ask one out ififi thought we’d be a good match. But i just assume they’re not into me so it doesn’t really come to mind much.
Personally I’ve never come across an issue dating outside my race, I’ve matched with men online and I’ve been hit on by guys in bars. Could be some men are more worried they wouldn’t be interested, as well as some women don’t think they’d be interested based on different cultures, family and perception could play a part whereas porn is more private.
Im mixed so not sure if that changes (I’m dark skin and it is quite hard to tell), so I’ve always been more open to date outside my race, but I felt like it was easier online for me to match with men that were white, Spanish, etc…

They view black women as a sexual fetish but not women who are good enough to date or marry. That’s the unfortunate and blunt answer. I’ve seen men speak about black women they’ve slept with in the most dehumanizing and horrendous manner, and if the context wasn’t sexual in nature you would have never guessed they’d ever go near a black woman in a million years.
Physical attraction matters but when it comes to dating its certainly not the only factor. They might be able to become aroused at the sight of a black woman,but at the same time they’ll harbour prejudice beliefs that make them feel like black women aren’t good candidates for a long-term relationship.
The average black woman you see in porn looks way different than the average black woman. Just because you aren’t attracted to people of a certain race or ethnicity, in general, doesn’t mean you can’t be attracted to an especially sexy person of that ethnicity.
Totally guessing but men find black women exotic. It’s something different then they may be used to. They also search fucking their sisters, fucking midgets, and whatever else the human mind can conjure up but it doesn’t mean they want it in real life. It’s an expression of sexuality.
Also, anyone who sees it this way- as exotic- is not seeing a black woman as a normal woman like any other woman and are therefore incapable of dating one normally because they see the race first and set the black woman aside as “different” whether they are mentally aware or not.
I am not sure that is the case outside of US as well, but there was an OkCupid survey confirming what you are saying.Possibly negative stereotypes associated with black women and racial tensions in general
I don’t do either, so. Well that’s not true I’ve gone out with a few black chicks.
I mean all kinds of reasons. People search for different « flavors » of porn and just not that comfortable with themselves to date outside their own ethnic groups. I can say that there are definitely a lot of people still that might not be maliciously racist but expect a lot of difficulty in inter-racial dating. I’ve also heard that it’s not uncommon for black women to get a lot of shit for dating outside their ethnic group, at least in America. I’m sure that’s dependent on many factors but definitely heard it often enough.

Because they fetishize us and can’t see us as anything other than sex partners so it’s very difficult when trying to navigate dating. It sucks because statistically black women make amazing partners. Black women are the most formally educated group in America. When married (interracially) our divorce rate is the lowest. We ALWAYS contribute to households, actually bringing up median incomes.

My honest answer is that I would date black women but most black women are attracted to a different type of guy. There are exceptions, of course, but it’s difficult enough as an above average white guy to even attract average white women.
They care what others think and we live in a racist world. Its the same reason men watch porn but talk shit about pornstars lol. They don’t want others to judge them. Its really a shame we live int his kind of world.
I mean I’m not into having kids in general but if I found a black woman that was my type I’d fantasize about having little mixed babies, and also have you seen some black ladies? They can get it…
I like black women, however they seem way more « prickly » than white women in my very limit experience.
