Dating : Why exactly do so many more men than women find it so hard to get any dates?

Dating : Why exactly do so many more men than women find it so hard to get any dates?

Is it basically because of online dating and social media, women have access to a larger number of men and they are picking the most attractive men?

Or is there another reason?

  1. There are way more men than women on dating apps so women have the pick of the litter. They’re going to obviously choose the best ones available and odds are you’re not one of them. You have better odds getting off the apps and try meeting women in the real world.

  2. Women control the dating market men control the marriage market. It’s why we hear people ask why men have commitments issues while also hearing guys complain they get turned down by 80-90% of the girls they approach.

  3. -Men are expected to be the ones to initiate and pursue

-Studies show that women have an easier time being happy being single than men do, to the point that single women are on average more happy than married women. Women are more likely than men to stay out of the dating market and be just fine with it.

-These two factors mean that women tend to be single by choice more often than men.

-Exacerbated in OLD, where the *most* balanced per-app ratios tend to be 60:40 men, and skew more heavily male from there…that’s 50% more women than men *at best* on dating apps

-Thirsty men tend to be boorish to women

So, on average, women’s dating options present themselves to her to select from, available dating options tend to favor her number-wise (she’s a buyer in a seller’s market, she can be choosy because she has more options than the men initiating with her typically do), and singleness is a preferable alternative to settling for options that don’t meet her standards

  4. this may sound weird, but there are actually significantly more single men than women, somehow

According to Pew Research Centre, 30% of Women ages 18-29 are single while 50% of men that age are single

It’s even worse in terms of online dating, where there are about 7 times as many men as there are women

Make of this as you will
