I had an interesting experience this weekend. Me and my ex have been split up for over two years now. But of recent we started texting quiet a bit. She has been dating a guy in the military currently overseas protecting our beautiful country.

I found it odd with the amount shes been talking to me so i figured they split. This weekend she asked to get ice cream with me and I said « yes ». After ice cream i gave her my cream.

After the sex she said she felt way better since its been a while « since her boyfriend has been deployed » (hinting they are still together). This was a shock to me, but it also made me feel extremely patriotic.

Am I in the wrong for thinking what i did for this soldier and our country is kind of heroic? Not only did I keep his GF company/happy/satisfied when he was deployed, but when he comes back next month he wont have to worry about dealing with a wound up bitchy GF who hasnt had sex in a while.

TL:DR hooked up with my ex who is dating a army guy while deployed. I am getting mixed reactions from friends, and family. I think its a positive thing to do for a troop deployed. some say its not.
