Dating : How often to text someone in between meeting them (in person) and the first date?

Let’s say I meet a girl face to face and we have a great conversation and get to know a decent amount about each other right off the bat. I ask her out and she says yes and the date is a few days or a week away. I prefer getting to know people in person face to face as opposed to over text messages but is waiting too long and being silent going to give off the vibe of not actually being interested in her?

  1. I would say text her once or twice every couple of days. Nothing too in depth, maybe “How’s your day been?” or “How was yoga yesterday?” (If you have a little more info to go off). Don’t completely go MIA for days and days, since she might wonder if you’re still interested, but also don’t send multiple texts a day just saying “hey.” I’ve had both happen to me and neither was ideal.

  2. It is perfectly fine to stay mostly silent before a first date. I usually try to set a first date 2 to 4 days out then I won’t text untill the day before (or the day of) with something like « Hey name, looking forward to meeting you/ seeing you tonight! »

Or if based on schedules you have to set a date a week out, I’ll text the day before, « Hey name! Wow this week really flew by, looking forward to seeing you/ meeting you tomorrow. »

I don’t really text between the first few dates unless she initiates.
