Dating : How soon is too soon to start dating again?
I (20f) had been seeing Bear (21m) from February to May. But we weren’t in an official relationship until March, and we broke up May 22nd. The last time I actually saw him in person was April 29th, because I wanted to give him space to work on his finals and final projects. He’s my first love and first committed relationship and i don’t think I’ll ever be 100% over it, despite that I can no longer picture us together.
I checked my okcupid for the first time since February and was greeted with an onslaught of men asking me out. I’m lonely and I have needs, so I’ve been thinking about saying yes to some of them. Except I’m worried that it’s genuinely too soon. I just don’t know.
Sounds like you don’t really have a problem and if you are ok enough to check a dating app, you’re over him.
Enjoy going on dates and recieving attention, but in my experience if you’re not « over it », your confidence is a little low, you’re a little needy and you’re not too emotionally stable. Don’t go looking for a serious relationship yet, have fun and build yourself back up.
