So I’m going to preface this by saying I’m in an open relationship but haven’t actually done anything.

Earlier this week, I (25F) was at a meetup. The meetup has mostly old people, but 4-5 of us young people stayed for like 2 hours after the old people left and were chatting. This one guy kept offering to get me drinks (I was just having soda and not alcohol), and after, we were standing on the sidewalk and he asked if I wanted to go grab a drink with him. I said no because I had to be at work early. Then he said that maybe we could hang out sometimes and I said « maybe » and then he said he’d give me his number. I didn’t ask for it though because I thought he’d just give it to me and I was calling an Uber so then he just kinda looked down and walked away, which I thought was weird.

After I talked to my bf who thinks I should go out with this guy because I haven’t done anything with other guys yet, but I couldn’t even tell if he was into me. The main reason I’m skeptical is because there was another girl at the meetup who was prettier and younger than me, so if he was going to ask someone out, why would he ask me and not her?

Attraction doesn’t always work like that. He liked *you*.

  2. They don’t go for the hard to get chicks, they need someone easy if they’re gonna actually get laid. He wasn’t trying to date you. Just get you drunk enough. Sounds like your boyfriend is also sleazy.
