Dating : Not Sure How to Interpret Mixed Signals
The other day I went on a date to a bar with a girl I had recently matched with on Tinder. The date seemed to go pretty well. We had a few drinks, shared some personal stories, discussed politics, music, books, family, all that jazz. She seemed really into the conversation and was smiling the whole time. She called me cute and asked to kiss me in the bar and then she kissed me again after I walked her to her car. I didn’t initiate either of these. Sooo I was feeling like it went super well.
When I said goodbye, I suggested we hang out again sometime and she smiled and said she’d text me. In a later discussion about food, I offered to cook for her sometime and she said « maybe! ».
Leading up to the date, she wasn’t texting me suuuuper often. But after the date, it seems like she is texting me less. Granted, she seems to be acting pretty normal and warm generally when she does send me something. But before shed send me stuff daily and now it’s more like once every few days and usually late. I’m not sending her a bunch of messages because I want to give her space.
It seems like her interest has waned but I’m not sure. I’ve been out of the dating game for a few years and post-COVID has me a little more socially awkward and picking up on cues is more difficult. I can’t tell if I’m overthinking it or if she’s really not interested. I’m not sure if these are even considered « mixed signals » since I don’t really know her well enough to understand behavioral patterns and things like that.
She’s probably dating other people and dealing with all their texts. I say you do the same and go seek out other dates instead of being fixated on one person.
